ICYMI – During the first-ever Pride Day in a small town near Portland, OR, a children’s theater group held a peaceful protest in the form of a “pride” drag show. However, a brawl between the Proud Boys and a masked group who tried to infiltrate the protest occurred on Saturday.
Politicians like former Congressman Adam Kinzinger and Rep. Eric Swalwell are using the situation to make their own stupid political points. Even Elon Musk has expressed curiosity about it. Due to the prevailing media and Democratic narrative, the Proud Boys are receiving most of the criticism. However, the situation is not as simple as it is being portrayed.
From what we have seen in the street fighting between Proud Boys groups and Antifa, it seems that if Antifa initiates violence, they can expect a response. However, in Oregon City on Saturday, a group of young men dressed in black who tried to join the Proud Boys, were chased and physically attacked by the group.
A profanity-laden argument occurred and was recorded in a video that received over eight million views on social media. The Twitter account that shared the video has been suspended.
After being ordered to leave by someone who told them to “Get the f*** out of here” and “Be gone!”, the black-bloc group was unmasked by the Proud Boys.
The individuals who trespassed were disguised as Patriot Front members. Patriot Front is a recently formed group that is known to promote racism and has allegedly been monitored by federal authorities during a previous demonstration, as indicated by various memes.
Some have noted that Adam Kinzinger, who is now a member of the January 6 Committee who cried during the hearing, appeared to be willing to believe that the individuals in khaki pants, who were wearing masks, were actually undercover federal agents.
“These people (all blue checks) are celebrating a seemingly MAGA assault on federal officers,” Kinzinger tweeted. “Now i [sic] don’t know what this really is,” he said, “but take a gander at the comments of the ‘patriots’ who ‘love America.’”
Kinzinger, who is now a CNN commentator, did not address the question about the presence of federal agents and focused on the fact that some people on the right were happy about the unmasking. Given the events at the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, when federal and local law enforcement were present but failed to prevent a riot from occurring, it is reasonable to think that feds would be there as well.
Swalwell then made his own idiotic remark:
The original video was shared by a Twitter user named “OMG_Like_Really.” They suspected Antifa’s involvement in the incident and mentioned a Rose City Antifa member who is infamous for participating in the group’s attacks, including the one against journalist Andy Ngo.
Elon Musk wanted to know, “Who were the unmasked individuals?”
The Proud Boys have opposed the Left’s sexualization of children and this aligns with their background as a multi-ethnic male empowerment group that values Western ideals, God, and country. They have expressed disdain towards the Left for negatively portraying men.
During the protests surrounding the 2016 election, Antifa began targeting the Proud Boys, who were supportive of Trump at the time. However, media outlets and Democrats labeled the Proud Boys as “fascists.” Whenever violence occurred, the Proud Boys were frequently blamed for starting or intensifying it. Despite being told to stay away from Portland, Antifa was never given the same warning.
