Hold onto your hats, folks, because we’ve got a real humdinger for you today! The good old boys over at CNN got a rude awakening recently when their favorite poster boy, Joe Biden, lost to “uncommitted” in the Dearborn, Michigan primary election. Yes, you read that right. “Uncommitted” beat out the sitting president. I mean, if that doesn’t make you chuckle, I don’t know what will.
Not only did Biden lose, but he lost big time. Dearborn’s Democrats aren’t exactly sending him love letters these days. Now, this is a city that Biden carried comfortably in 2020 – a critical piece of his strategy to defeat Donald Trump in Michigan. But it seems the tables have turned, and the voters are singing a different tune.
CNN’s John King had a priceless reaction to the news: “So that’s a WOW!” He couldn’t quite believe that “uncommitted” had secured a whopping 75% of the votes compared to Biden’s measly 23%. It’s like watching a high school jock lose the homecoming king crown to the class nerd. Pure gold!
But here’s where things get even more interesting. Last night in Michigan, President Trump won more votes than all of the Democrat candidates (including “uncommitted”) combined. The man who was unceremoniously booted out of the White House last year is still raking in more votes than the current occupant.
What does this tell us? Maybe, just maybe, the folks in Michigan are having a bit of buyer’s remorse. Perhaps they’re starting to realize that all that glitters is not gold. Or in this case, all that promises unity and progress might just leave you with a stagnating economy and skyrocketing gas prices.
So, here’s to the “uncommitted” voters of Dearborn, Michigan. You’ve given us a good laugh and a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, people are starting to wake up and smell the coffee.
As for Biden, well, it’s back to the drawing board, buddy. Maybe next time, try to be more committed to your promises and less committed to your own political agenda. Who knows? You might just win over those “uncommitted” voters yet.
