WATCH: Plane Starts Falling Apart After Takeoff Causing Damage Below

Well, strap in folks, because it looks like United Airlines is giving us a new definition of “bumpy ride.” I mean, who needs in-flight entertainment when you can have tires falling off planes and engines bursting into flames? Talk about a thrill ride!

A tire fell off a United Airlines flight during takeoff in San Francisco. But wait, it gets better. The rogue tire didn’t just fall off into oblivion. Oh no, it decided to go on a little adventure and damaged multiple cars in a nearby parking lot. Talk about a bad day for those car owners!

United Flight 35, which was supposed to be jetting off to Japan, had to make a detour and landed safely in Los Angeles. The Boeing 777-200, which apparently has six tires on its two sets of rear landing gear, was carrying 249 people onboard. Now, I’m no aviation expert, but I’m pretty sure planes need all their tires for safe takeoff and landing.

But hold onto your seatbelts, because this isn’t the only recent incident with United Airlines. A flight from Houston to Fort Myers had to turn around after one of its engines decided to put on a fireworks show and erupted in flames. According to FlightAware data, United Flight 1118 was in the air for less than 15 minutes before it had to make a U-turn.

And what does United Airlines offer its passengers after these terrifying experiences? A $15 meal voucher and a $200 travel credit. Well, aren’t they generous! I’m sure that’s exactly what the passengers were hoping for after thinking they were going to meet their maker.

One passenger even told ABC 13, “I remember there was just this bright, flashing light that came through the window, and it sounded like a bomb went off, and then it was just a strobe of fire out the window.” Another added that they thought they were going to die and even emailed his wife, telling her he loved her and she should feel free to move on. Now, isn’t that just the kind of in-flight experience we all dream of?

United Airlines has certainly given us a new perspective on air travel. Who knew it could be so…exciting? But hey, maybe next time, try to keep the tires on the plane, okay? And maybe, just maybe, check those engines before takeoff. Just a suggestion.
