We just learned that another lunatic was arrested last month after repeatedly threatening to take extreme actions (you know what I mean) against President Trump. Weeks before a second assassination attempt targeting Trump occurred, 64-year-old Warren Jones Crazybull from Idaho, made several alarming phone calls to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The threats, both in phone calls and on Facebook, have raised concerns about the escalating dangers Trump faces as he campaigns for the 2024 presidential election.
Crazybull’s name may sound made up, but this is no joke. According to a criminal complaint, Crazybull made at least nine calls to Mar-a-Lago on July 31, with one call specifically stating, “I am going to down him personally and k— him.” He also mentioned Trump’s Bedminster property in New Jersey, saying he was “coming down tomorrow.” Mar-a-Lago security quickly informed the Secret Service, who tracked the calls and monitored Crazybull’s social media activity, where he made similar threats under aliases, including “Tracy Jones.”
On August 1st, federal authorities arrested Crazybull in Sandpoint, Idaho, and he was later indicted on August 20 in federal court. He has pleaded not guilty to one count of making threats against a former president, with his trial set for October 28. The Secret Service’s affidavit also revealed that Crazybull used several aliases and claimed that Trump had “violated treaties, and thereby deprived Crazybull of his land,” hinting at a personal vendetta.
The arrest comes amid heightened concerns over Trump’s safety. In recent months, there have been two attempts on Trump’s life, including one at his Pennsylvania rally and another at his golf course in Florida. The fact that Crazybull’s threats came so close to these incidents has only intensified the scrutiny surrounding the former president’s security.
As Trump continues to fight for a second term, this case highlights the serious and ongoing threats he faces. Whether political rhetoric or personal grievances fuel these threats, it’s clear that the stakes for Trump’s safety are higher than ever.
