CNN’s Jake Tapper thought he had a “gotcha” moment lined up for Stephen Miller, but as usual, it didn’t end well for the liberal media. Miller, President Trump’s top immigration policy architect, went on CNN expecting the usual pro-illegal immigration spin—and he brought the receipts to shut it down.
During the heated exchange, Tapper tried to argue that mass deportations would increase grocery prices because so many farm workers are illegal immigrants. “In 2022, forty-two percent of crop workers were undocumented immigrants,” Tapper claimed. “How does President Trump make sure that deporting illegal aliens doesn’t result in higher prices at the grocery store?”
Big mistake.
Miller immediately flipped the script. “I’m sure it’s not your position, Jake. You’re just asking the question that we should supply America’s food with exploitative illegal alien labor. I obviously don’t think that’s what you’re implying,” Miller said, delivering the first of many brutal takedowns.
Tapper tried to backpedal, but Miller wasn’t finished. He pointed out that the vast majority of illegal aliens don’t work in agriculture but instead settle in major cities like New York and Los Angeles. “Only one percent of alien workers in the entire country work in agriculture,” he explained. “None of those illegal aliens are doing farm work.”
Tapper, visibly frustrated, cut in to claim that Miller was ‘changing the subject.’
That’s when Miller went nuclear:
“Give me thirty minutes, and I’ll go as deep as you want.”
He then dropped the hammer:
“There’s no universe in which this nation is going to allow the previous president to flood our nation with millions and millions of illegal aliens who just get to stay here, and we are especially not going to allow a subset of those illegal aliens to rape and murder our citizens.”
“We are going to unapologetically enforce our immigration laws.”
With that, Tapper quickly wrapped up the interview, undoubtedly regretting bringing Miller on in the first place.
The clip went viral almost immediately. Conservative commentator Cash Loren summed it up best: “Jake Tapper had to tap out after that takedown.”
Another user exposed Tapper’s real agenda: “Tapper is promoting slave labor. Disgraceful.”
Miller’s CNN appearance proved once again that the left has no real defense for Biden’s border disaster—just weak talking points and economic fear-mongering. And when faced with cold, hard facts, Tapper and his ilk have nothing left but to change the subject or end the interview.
