House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) just made what can only be described as an outright call to political violence, and yet, predictably, the mainstream media is pretending it never happened.
During a Friday press conference with Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Yvette D. Clarke (D-N.Y.), Jeffries launched into a typical leftist smear campaign against President Trump, attacking his executive order investigating Joe Biden’s disastrous DEI policies and his response to the Ronald Reagan National Airport plane crash. Rather than addressing the issues with facts, Jeffries defaulted to the tired, overused, and meaningless “Trump is a r*cist” talking point.
But then, Jeffries took things to another level—one that should be national headline news.
“We’re going to fight it (Trump’s agenda) legislatively, we’re going to fight it in the courts,” Jeffries said. “And we’re going to fight it in the streets.”
Excuse me, what?
A sitting member of Congress—the highest-ranking Democrat in the House—just declared that the left will fight Trump’s administration “in the streets.” Can anyone remind me what happened the last time Democrats used that kind of rhetoric?
Oh, that’s right—riots, destruction, and political violence.
We all remember the George Floyd riots of 2020, which left cities in ashes, businesses burned to the ground, and police officers attacked in the name of “social justice.” We also remember when GOP members of Congress were targeted and harassed in public places, and let’s not forget the far-left terrorist who nearly assassinated 20 Republican congressmen on a baseball field in Alexandria, Virginia—an incident the FBI laughably tried to classify as “suicide by cop.”
And now, just months after an attempted assassination on President Trump, Jeffries is out here telling his base to “fight in the streets.” This is dangerous, irresponsible, and a clear incitement of violence—the exact thing Democrats falsely accused Trump of on January 6.
Imagine for a second if a Republican had said this. The FBI would already be at their door, Democrats would be calling for their expulsion from Congress, and every major news outlet would be wall-to-wall with breathless coverage. But because it’s a Democrat saying it, the media shrugs and moves on.
This is the real political extremism threatening America—not from Trump, but from unhinged Democrats who think violence is justified when they don’t get their way. Jeffries is playing with fire, and if history has taught us anything, his radical base will take his words literally—with deadly consequences.
