BREAKING: Mitch McConnell Hangs Up His Hat – Will NOT Seek Re-Election to Senate Next Year

Well, it’s finally happening—Mitch McConnell is packing it up and heading for the exit. After decades of playing the D.C. game, the former Senate Majority Leader (who spent far too much time cozying up to the establishment) has announced that he won’t seek re-election next year. Frankly, this couldn’t come soon enough.

McConnell, who has held onto power like a barnacle on a sinking ship, gave a statement to the AP, reminiscing about his time in the Senate:

“Seven times, my fellow Kentuckians have sent me to the Senate. Every day in between I’ve been humbled by the trust they’ve placed in me to do their business here.

Representing our commonwealth has been the honor of a lifetime. I will not seek this honor an eighth time.

My current term in the Senate will be my last.”

Translation: I finally realized the base wants nothing to do with me.

Let’s be real—McConnell’s upcoming exit isn’t just some graceful retirement. It’s long overdue. Over the last several years, he’s done everything in his power to sabotage President Trump while bending over backward to help Joe Biden. Whether it was his obsession with funding Ukraine, his willingness to back Biden’s bloated spending bills, or even his sneaky little attempt to automatically impeach Trump if he tried to cut off that foreign money pipeline—McConnell made it clear he was no friend of America First.

But it didn’t stop there. Even as Trump secured victory in his second term, McConnell kept throwing tantrums by opposing some of the most qualified cabinet nominees we’ve seen in years. He voted against:

  • Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary (a man who actually believes in the military, unlike the woke generals we’ve had to deal with).
  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for HHS Secretary (because God forbid we have someone who questions Big Pharma).
  • Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence (a former Democrat who actually saw the light and supports an America First foreign policy).

The reality is that McConnell’s time is up because the movement has passed him by. The Republican Party is no longer the old-school, weak-kneed establishment club where career politicians sell out their voters for lobbyist cash. Trump changed that. And McConnell? He never caught on.

Oh, and let’s not forget—his health has been rapidly deteriorating. We’ve seen him freeze up mid-sentence on live TV, take nasty falls, and look increasingly frail every time he steps up to a microphone. At some point, even the swamp creatures in D.C. had to admit the obvious: McConnell simply wasn’t up for the job anymore.

So, goodbye, Mitch. You had your time, but that time is over. The Republican Party is moving forward without you.
