Well, surprise surprise, we’ve got another national security leak, this time courtesy of the ever-reliable CNN. You’d think with all the pearl-clutching they do over “democracy in danger,” they might hesitate before splashing classified military assessments on live TV, but hey, ratings come first, right?
So here’s what happened: President Trump, never one to tiptoe around tough decisions, announced Saturday evening that the United States dropped the hammer on three Iranian nuclear sites. We’re talking Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. And not just a slap on the wrist either; we’re talking a full payload of bunker-busting bombs on the Fordow plant, a site buried deep underground where Iran’s regime loves to tinker with uranium and pretend the world doesn’t notice.
Trump posted on Truth Social, saying, “We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” Classic Trump, blunt, unapologetic, and reminding everyone which military still dominates the skies.
Satellite images came out shortly after showing the Fordow plant before and after Operation Midnight Hammer. The before pictures showed Iran’s nuclear facility smugly buried under a mountain. The after shots? Let’s just say the mountain’s ventilation improved significantly.
But because the media can’t let Trump have a win, suddenly, there’s a conveniently timed leak. CNN, the Associated Press, and the New York Times all got their hands on a “top secret” intelligence assessment claiming the strikes only set Iran’s nuclear program back a few months and the sites are “largely intact.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t mince words. She called the leak “flat-out wrong,” reminded everyone this was classified information, and called out the “anonymous, low-level loser” leaking it to smear Trump and the mission.
Let’s be real: When you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bunker busters on a target, things don’t walk away “largely intact.” Maybe the leaker missed that day in physics class. The left’s obsession with downplaying American strength to undercut Trump is so predictable it’s practically clockwork.
