Well, what did they expect? We warned them. We practically shouted it from the rooftops: if you elect a communist, don’t be surprised when he starts acting like one. New York City ignored the warnings, got hypnotized by promises of “free everything,” and handed the keys to City Hall over to Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist who campaigned like a friendly neighborhood activist and is now sounding more like a mini-Stalin with a mic.
This isn’t hyperbole. Even CNN’s Van Jones — not exactly a card-carrying member of the GOP — had to admit Mamdani’s victory speech was disturbing. The tone, the fury, the delivery… it wasn’t “hope and change,” it was “rage and control.” Suddenly the guy who was all about “helping the working class” is growling through a speech that sounded like it was translated from a Fidel Castro original.
Of course, the snake analogy from President Trump’s favorite poem fits like a glove here. Mamdani played nice during the campaign. He smiled, he promised rent freezes, free transit, government-run food markets — everything short of unicorns on demand. But just like the snake in the poem, once New Yorkers welcomed him in, he bit. And he’s already showing venom.
In the span of 24 hours, Mamdani managed to threaten the President of the United States, declare his intent to drag the federal government through the courts, and double down on his anti-Trump rhetoric in every interview he could find. “Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up,” he sneered at his victory party. This wasn’t some off-the-cuff jab. It was rehearsed, intentional, and aimed to provoke.
He also took a jab during a media hit, saying, “You stop treating things as being law just by virtue of the fact that President Trump is saying them.” Really? So now federal law is whatever Mamdani doesn’t feel like obeying? Sounds familiar. It’s the same lawless progressive garbage that turned cities like San Francisco and Portland into dystopian messes.
Here’s the truth: Mamdani doesn’t want to work with the President. He wants a fight. He’s hoping Trump reacts so he can play the oppressed revolutionary. But what he’s not ready for is Trump fighting back with actual federal authority. Because if Mamdani thinks running a city means defying immigration laws, blocking federal enforcement, and turning NYC into a socialist sandbox — well, let’s just say he’s about to find out what playing stupid games gets you.
The bite is coming, New York. And you voted for it.
