A-List Celebrities Caught Up in Alleged Illegal Voting Scandal

A new report is raising fresh questions about voter registration practices in California after dozens of registered voters, including several high-profile Hollywood celebrities, were reportedly linked to the same commercial office address in West Hollywood.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, 36 registered voters are associated with Suite 600 at 9200 Sunset Boulevard, the business office of Platinum Financial Management Inc. The office is managed by financial adviser Michael Ullman and is not a residential property. The report lists actress Jennifer Aniston, Jenna Dewan, Linda Cardellini, Katheryn Winnick, Nicollette Sheridan, Laura Harrier, Matt Czuchry, Debbie Gibson and Hamish Linklater among those connected to the address.

The discovery has fueled renewed debate over election integrity in California, where state law requires voters to register at their place of residence. While voters are permitted to use a business address or post office box for mailing purposes, California law requires them to provide their actual residence or domicile when registering to vote.

Ullman told the Daily Mail that the celebrities do not live at his office and that the address is used only for receiving mail.

“They don’t live here,” Ullman said. “It’s just a mailing address, but it’s not their residential address. So it gets mailed here, but they voted in their area.”

Whether that explanation satisfies California election law remains an open question. Amber Hulse of the Dhillon Law Group told the Daily Mail that using a business address as a mailing address is legal, but only if the voter also provides their true residential address as their legal domicile.

“If, for example, Jennifer Aniston is using it as her residence, when it is clearly not her residence, then it would be illegal,” Hulse said. She added that voter registration forms are signed under penalty of perjury, meaning knowingly providing false residency information could carry legal consequences.

Hulse also noted that while California provides certain privacy protections for some individuals, celebrity status alone does not automatically allow someone to substitute a business address for their residence on a voter registration.

The report indicates that registrations connected to the Sunset Boulevard office span more than two decades, with the earliest dating back to 2002 and the most recent reportedly filed in late 2025. None of the celebrities named in the report publicly commented on the allegations.

Los Angeles County officials have acknowledged they are reviewing the registrations associated with the address. County spokesman Michael Sanchez said voter registrations are processed when applicants attest under penalty of perjury that the address listed constitutes their residence or domicile and the paperwork otherwise complies with state law. He confirmed the county is continuing to examine the records connected to the Sunset Boulevard office.

The controversy extends beyond paperwork. Election law ties voters to specific cities, districts and local jurisdictions, making residency an important factor in determining which local offices and ballot measures a voter may participate in. Supporters of stricter election oversight argue that accurate voter rolls are essential to maintaining public confidence in the electoral system, while county officials stress that any determination of wrongdoing depends on the specific facts of each registration.

The review remains ongoing, and it is unclear whether county officials will determine that any of the registrations violated California law.
