Well, AOC is back at it again, not with policy, not with serious ideas, but with playground-level insults. In her latest social media rant, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took aim at former Trump adviser Stephen Miller and decided the most effective way to “resist authoritarianism” was to mock his height. Yes, seriously. That’s the intellectual depth of the modern Democratic Party.
In a livestream on Instagram, AOC called Miller a “clown” and said he “looks like he’s about 4 foot 10 and angry about it.” She went on to encourage her followers to laugh at MAGA men, claiming the best way to combat what she calls “insecure masculinity” is by making fun of people. That’s the plan, apparently. Forget debate. Forget facts. Just mock your political opponents for their physical appearance and call it resistance.
Now, just for the record, Stephen Miller is 5 foot 10. So her insult wasn’t just immature, it was flat-out wrong. But this isn’t really about Miller’s height. It’s about AOC exposing the utter emptiness of her own argument. When you can’t win on policy, you start swinging wildly with personal attacks.
AOC claimed that Miller’s supposed anger comes from being short and taking it out on “any other population possible.” Imagine if a Republican said something like this about a Democrat. It would be front-page news for a week. But because it’s AOC, it’s just quirky and edgy, right?
Well, Stephen Miller wasn’t having it. Appearing on Fox News, he fired back with a brutal response: “We knew her brain didn’t work, now we know her eyes don’t work.” He didn’t stop there either. “She is a mess. What a train wreck. Every time she’s on TV, Republican approval ratings go up, Democratic approval ratings go down. That lady is a walking nightmare.”
Ouch.
And he’s not wrong. AOC’s brand of politics is based on emotion, drama, and viral clips, not substance. The fact that she thinks mocking a man’s height is how you “dismantle authoritarianism” is laughable in itself. It’s also a pretty sad look for someone who claims to be a leader in a party that’s supposedly about tolerance, acceptance, and standing up to bullies.
In reality, this stunt just shows how little AOC has to offer beyond social media theatrics. When insults are your only weapon, it’s probably because your ideas don’t hold up.
