Joe Biden isn’t handling questions well these days, and Wednesday was no exception. When a reporter dared to ask him if Donald Trump deserved credit for the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and the release of hostages, Biden snapped. The reporter’s straightforward question—“Who deserves credit for this? You or Trump?”—clearly struck a nerve. Biden, visibly irritated, shot back, “Is that a joke? Oh.” That’s the best response he could muster? Deflection and disdain.
Meanwhile, Trump was already taking a well-deserved victory lap. Posting on Truth Social, Trump announced, “WE HAVE A DEAL FOR THE HOSTAGES IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THEY WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY. THANK YOU!” Once again, Trump is delivering results while Biden stumbles over basic questions.
And here’s the kicker: Biden’s own State Department admitted Trump’s team played a crucial role in brokering this deal. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller openly acknowledged, “When it comes to the involvement of President-elect Trump’s team, it’s been absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line.” That’s right—Trump’s leadership got it done, and even Biden’s people can’t deny it.
So why the hostility from Biden? Maybe it’s because this situation perfectly highlights the contrast between Trump and Biden on foreign policy. Trump is a dealmaker who prioritizes American strength and global stability. Biden, on the other hand, has been weak and indecisive on the world stage. From the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal to letting adversaries like Iran and China run wild, Biden has shown time and again that he’s out of his depth.
Trump, during his presidency, brokered historic peace deals in the Middle East with the Abraham Accords, something the Obama-Biden administration never accomplished. Now, even out of office, Trump’s influence is bringing results in one of the most volatile regions in the world.
Biden can scoff and dismiss the question all he wants, but facts are facts. Trump’s leadership and his team’s involvement were critical in securing this ceasefire and hostage release. Biden should be thanking Trump instead of rolling his eyes.
But don’t hold your breath. Biden can’t afford to admit that Trump succeeded where he has failed. Fortunately, the American people are watching, and they can see exactly who’s getting results.
