BREAKING: Ghislaine Maxwell Gets New Security Detail from Special Ops Forces

Ghislaine Maxwell is now under some of the tightest security ever seen at a minimum-security prison. According to a bombshell report from the New York Sun, federal authorities have deployed both special operations and counterterrorism units to her new facility in Bryan, Texas, after she received a wave of credible death threats.

The threats reportedly began pouring in shortly after Maxwell’s surprise transfer to the prison camp last week. Sources close to the investigation told the Sun that officials are primarily concerned about dangers from the outside rather than from within the prison population itself.

To counter those threats, the Bureau of Prisons has dispatched its Special Operations Response Team to monitor the facility’s entrance and perimeter. Normally tasked with responding to high-risk incidents in maximum-security environments, this elite team’s presence at a low-security camp is virtually unheard of.

In addition, the BOP’s Counter Terrorism Unit is on site. This specialized unit, typically reserved for monitoring communications and activities of incarcerated terrorists, is reportedly keeping tabs on any potential internal risks to Maxwell’s safety. Between the two units, her current security detail is unprecedented for a facility better known for housing white-collar criminals and low-level offenders.

Maxwell, the 62-year-old British socialite, is serving a 20-year sentence for her role in grooming and trafficking underage girls for Epstein’s abuse. Her transfer to Bryan came as she is reportedly negotiating with the government in exchange for potential sentence reductions. That move has reignited public outrage, particularly among her victims, who see the relocation as a cushy downgrade from the harsher conditions she previously faced.

The Bryan facility’s most famous former inmates before Maxwell included Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Neither case, however, prompted anything close to the military-style precautions now in place for Maxwell.

The Bureau of Prisons has refused to confirm the security operation, citing a policy against discussing individual inmates. Still, the extraordinary measures suggest officials are taking the threats seriously, especially given the suspicious circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s own death in custody in 2019.

For now, Maxwell is under heavy watch, and it is clear federal authorities intend to make sure nothing happens to her—at least not before she finishes talking. If her cooperation leads to new revelations in the Epstein network, her safety will remain a top priority for the Trump administration’s Justice Department.
