During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee and a Republican from Kentucky, claimed that the FBI has additional investigative documents that link Joe Biden to a bribery scandal worth millions of dollars. Comer accused the Bureau of delaying its investigation into the Biden family and their business transactions during his conversation with host Trey Gowdy on “Sunday Night in America.”
“It appears the only entity in the world that’s investigating it is the House Oversight Committee,” Rep. Comer said according to Fox News.
According to the Kentucky Republican, he thinks the FBI is holding back additional documents that were mentioned in the FD1023 form recently given to lawmakers. This form was used to gather information from a whistleblower who made accusations that while serving as vice president, President Biden received a bribe ranging from $5 million to $10 million to benefit his family’s business ventures in Ukraine. Hunter Biden, the president’s son, held a top board position at a Ukrainian company called Burisma Holdings.

According to Comer, the allegations related to form 1023 may extend beyond a single document. He suggests that there are likely more forms containing additional evidence of bribery linked to the Biden family.
“Once the FBI allowed me and Jamie Raskin, my counterpart on the House Oversight Committee, to go in and look at it, I read it again and then realized that there were two footnotes in there that referenced other 1023s,” he said.
“This is going to turn out, I think, a lot like the suspicious activity reports that the Treasury Cabinet had on the Bidens,” Comer said. “There are a lot more of these than what the federal government wants to admit, and the question is, why hasn’t the federal government done anything about it?”
Recently, Rep. Comer canceled a vote to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt. This decision came after the Bureau agreed to let members of the House Oversight Committee view the FD1023 form in a secure location. This form pertains to an investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign. The Oversight chair has claimed to have accessed emails between Hunter Biden and the Obama White House. These emails allegedly show that the former Vice President’s administration was aware of his son’s business activities. This development contradicts the President’s statements that he had no knowledge of his son’s dealings.
According to House Republicans, nine members of the Biden family allegedly benefited financially through their involvement in business dealings with foreign companies. However, they did not register as foreign agents, which may have been necessary.
