The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the Elon Musk-led initiative tasked with identifying wasteful government spending, has once again exposed just how far the federal government has strayed from reality. On Tuesday, DOGE canceled multiple grants from the National Institute of Health (NIH), including a $600,000 taxpayer-funded program designed to teach so-called “transgender boys” (biological girls) how to prevent pregnancy.
The federal government was pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into an initiative aimed at pregnancy prevention for people who supposedly aren’t women—as if biological reality is just a minor inconvenience that can be ignored in the name of political correctness.
A Laundry List of Woke Government Waste
DOGE, which has been digging through the government’s bloated budget, shared some of its most eye-popping discoveries in an X post on Tuesday. Among the now-terminated grants were:
$699,000 for a study on “cannabis use” among “sexual minority gender diverse individuals.”
$740,000 to analyze “social networks” among “Black and Latino sexual minority men in New Jersey.”
$50,000 to assess the “sexual health” of “LGBTQ+ Latinx youth” in an agricultural community.
$75,000 for “structural racism” research—because apparently, that requires federal funding.
And then there’s the most mind-boggling one of all: a $600,000 grant to create a “pregnancy prevention program” for “transgender boys.”
According to the grant’s description, biological females who identify as non-binary or male are “at risk for negative sexual health outcomes” because traditional teen sex education assumes, quite logically, that boys can’t get pregnant—a truth that somehow eludes today’s radical gender ideologues.
The program sought to distribute condoms and provide “sexual health support” to these individuals, with a particular focus on rural areas. It was even built on a previous project, “Girl2Girl”, a texting-based sexual health program for lesbian teens—because nothing says “public health crisis” like making sure every obscure gender identity gets its own taxpayer-funded sex ed curriculum.

DOGE’s investigations have already uncovered a $532,000 taxpayer-funded study on gender reassignment surgeries for animals, which President Trump himself highlighted in his recent address to Congress.
This is what Democrats have been funding with your tax dollars—while veterans struggle, inflation soars, and our southern border remains wide open. But thanks to Trump, Musk, and DOGE, the era of woke government waste is finally coming to an end.
