Elon Musk Says DOGE Team Found Hidden ‘Magic Money Machines’

Elon Musk has just pulled back the curtain on what may be one of the biggest financial scandals in U.S. history—a shadowy network of “magic money computers” within the federal government that are creating trillions of dollars out of thin air.

Appearing on Senator Ted Cruz’s Verdict podcast, Musk revealed that his team has uncovered 14 such machines across multiple government agencies, including the Treasury Department, the Department of Defense (DOD), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and even the State Department.

These rogue financial systems, Musk warned, are operating outside of any centralized network, meaning federal agencies are issuing massive payments without proper oversight—and the money doesn’t match the official numbers reported to Congress.

Musk: Government Spending Is Even More Out of Control Than We Thought

“You may think that the government computers all talk to each other, synchronize, add up what funds are going where, and that it’s coherent,” Musk told Cruz.

“And that the numbers, for example, that you’re presented as a senator are actually the real numbers.”

Cruz, understandably, was stunned.

“One would think,” he responded.

“One would think,” Musk agreed. “They’re not. They’re not totally wrong, but they’re probably off by 5% or 10% in some cases.”

For context, 5% of the U.S. federal budget is around $300 billion—meaning these “errors” could amount to trillions of dollars vanishing into the abyss.

How Do ‘Magic Money Computers’ Work?

According to Musk, these government systems operate independently, issuing payments with no direct oversight.

“I call a magic money computer any computer that can just make money out of thin air,” Musk said.

Cruz pressed him for details.

“How does that work?”

Musk’s response was chilling:

“It just issues payments.”

Musk further clarified that while most of these rogue financial machines exist within the Treasury, others have been found in HHS, State, and DOD.

“I think we’ve found 14 magic money computers now,” Musk stated.

A $34 Trillion Disaster in the Making?

With U.S. national debt surpassing $34 trillion, the idea that billions—possibly trillions—of dollars are being sent out with no real accounting should alarm every American.

The question now is: Will Congress act? Or will this scandal be buried like every other government abuse of power?
