Well, well, well—Elon Musk just threw a haymaker, and President Trump hit back harder. This week, tensions between the billionaire Tesla boss and the 45th President exploded after Musk went after Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” (OBBB), which is aimed at slashing taxes, fixing the trade deficit, and bringing jobs back to America—all things Musk supposedly supports.
But instead of arguing on the actual merits of the bill, Musk decided to throw a cheap shot. He took things to the gutter by dragging up Jeffrey Epstein, sharing an old, widely debunked video of President Trump at Mar-a-Lago in 1992 with Epstein and NFL cheerleaders. This is the Left’s favorite tactic: if you can’t win the argument, scream “Epstein!” and hope people forget that you’re tanking on policy.
And then Musk added fuel to the fire with a cryptic tweet: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.” Oh, how original. Sounds like something straight off a Reddit conspiracy thread. But before CNN could fire up their next “orange man bad” segment, along comes attorney David Schoen—the man hired by Epstein himself just nine days before Epstein was found dead in his cell.
Schoen went public on Thursday and absolutely torched Musk’s smear job. He tweeted:
“I can say authoritatively, unequivocally, and definitively that he [Epstein] had no information to hurt President Trump. I specifically asked him!”
Boom. There you have it—from Epstein’s own defense lawyer. Schoen also retweeted Roger Stone to drive the point home: “I can tell you unequivocally as someone who would know that President Trump never did anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein.”
And let’s use a little common sense here. If President Trump had any ties to Epstein’s criminal activity, you think the media, the FBI, or the Clinton-friendly deep state wouldn’t have blasted it 24/7? They’ve spent eight years trying to take this man down. Russia hoax, two impeachments, Stormy Daniels—if they had real dirt, it would’ve been the lead story on MSNBC every day since 2016.
Instead, Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. The Clintons, on the other hand, racked up nearly 30 flights on the Lolita Express. Funny how Musk hasn’t posted that video.
In the end, Musk may be a tech genius, but when he steps into politics and slings garbage like this, he looks more like a left-wing Twitter troll than a serious critic.
