Famous Rapper Latest Victim in Attack from Portland Anarchists

Only in Portland could something this absurd happen. Radical anarchists reportedly set fire to Ice Cube’s tour bus early Tuesday morning, September 23, apparently mistaking it for an ICE deportation vehicle. America’s most famous “Ice” nearly had his ride torched because leftist militants thought it belonged to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The incident took place just hours after Ice Cube wrapped up his “Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude Tour” stop at the Moda Center. Around 1 a.m., video footage captured flames consuming the front passenger-side tire of his parked tour bus near Southwest Broadway and Oak Street. Thick smoke billowed into the air as Portland Fire & Rescue raced to the scene. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated the bus, which sustained a shattered driver’s side window and visible scorch damage along the exterior.

Rick Graves, a spokesperson for Portland Fire & Rescue, confirmed investigators are treating the case as “suspicious,” though no suspects have been identified. Nearby security cameras are being reviewed. Ice Cube’s team, represented by Tresa Sanders of TreMedia, downplayed the ordeal. “I’m not taking this incident as a personal attack,” Cube said through Sanders. “A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time.”

Of course, anyone familiar with Portland’s recent history knows this wasn’t just random vandalism. The city has long been a hotbed for radical protest networks, with Antifa and other anarchist groups attacking ICE facilities, federal courthouses, and even small businesses under the guise of “resistance.” The confusion between Ice Cube and ICE just makes the story a tragicomic snapshot of leftist violence gone haywire.

The firebombing also comes at a politically tense moment. President Trump has directed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to deploy troops to Portland with authorization to use “full force” if necessary. In a statement, Trump said he is responding to ongoing attacks against ICE facilities and “domestic terrorists” who have turned Portland into a “war-ravaged” city.

The juxtaposition is striking: while Cube was in town to rap about four decades of attitude, anarchists were busy showing the world that Portland still hasn’t grown out of its self-destructive chaos. Whether they knew whose bus they were attacking or not, the message is clear—radical leftists will burn anything in sight if they think it serves their cause.

For Ice Cube, it was a scare. For Portland, it was yet another reminder of how far law and order has slipped.
