In the latest episode of Delusion with the Democrats, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) managed to go viral again — not for proposing legislation or delivering a brilliant speech (don’t hold your breath) — but for claiming that Republicans secretly admire her. Yes, really.
During a sit-down with former CNN personality and resident partisan Jim Acosta, Crockett dropped a whopper that had conservatives across the country collectively spitting out their coffee. According to her, Republicans approach her in public to say they “really like” her and think she’s doing “what is best for all of us.”
“I have no idea what is happening in their polling,” she said, “but I can tell you that they approach me as they see me out and say, ‘Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I really like you.’”
Sure they do, Jasmine. Just like people walk up to Nancy Pelosi and ask her for fashion tips. This is the same Rep. Crockett who regularly goes on bizarre rants, hurls race-based accusations at anyone who disagrees with her, and once got caught threatening another member of Congress. She’s not exactly the “reach across the aisle” type.
So, what’s really going on here? Most likely, some staffer in a Whole Foods gave her a courtesy nod and she translated that into a full-throated endorsement from the Republican base. Or maybe a couple of D.C. lobbyists told her she was “interesting” — code for “please stop talking so I can eat my $30 quinoa salad in peace.”
Conservatives online weren’t buying a word of it. One viral tweet joked, “She’s basically the Dennis Rodman of Congress — loud, unhinged, and somehow convinced the other team is jealous.”
Let’s be clear: Crockett is the embodiment of everything conservatives reject — identity politics, leftist race-baiting, government overreach, and a permanent residence on the MSNBC circuit. She’s not someone Republicans admire; she’s someone they cite as an example of why we need to keep control of the House.
If she’s seriously considering this some sort of bipartisan fan club, she might want to check her polling outside the CNN bubble. Then again, maybe this is her opening pitch for the 2028 Democrat presidential primary. At this rate, she’ll fit right in with the clown car.
