Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) just did what she does best—calling out the mainstream media’s hypocrisy with the kind of bluntness that makes liberals squirm. When a reporter had the audacity to question President Trump’s blanket pardons for January 6th participants, MTG wasn’t having any of it.
“Is that all you really talk about?” she shot back, visibly unimpressed with the tired narrative. And when the reporter meekly responded “yeah,” Greene let her have it. “Oh, well, what about the r–ers and k–lers and m–derers that Joe Biden pardoned? Is that a focus at all?” The reporter tried to backpedal, but Greene wasn’t about to let her off the hook that easily.
And she’s got a point—while the media obsessively clutches their pearls over the J6 pardons, Biden has been quietly handing out get-out-of-jail-free cards to criminals convicted of heinous crimes. In January, Biden granted dozens of pardons to people convicted of serious offenses, claiming they had “become respected members of their communities.” You can’t make this stuff up.
As the conversation escalated, Greene made it clear she was done playing along with the left’s fixation on J6. “This insane place up here, and all of y’all’s obsession with January 6th, is absurd,” she said. “Everyone else out of here is sick and f***ing tired of it. I’m serious.” That’s the kind of energy Republicans need—direct, unapologetic, and unwilling to take nonsense from the media.
And let’s not forget, as MTG rightly pointed out, the blatant double standard at play. When Antifa and BLM rioters were torching cities across the country in 2020, the media and Democrats were nowhere to be found. Over 95% of those rioters walked away with nothing more than a slap on the wrist, if that. But suddenly, when patriotic Americans walk through the Capitol’s open doors, it’s the “worst attack on democracy” in history? Give me a break.
Meanwhile, President Trump isn’t wasting time catering to the left’s hysteria. With the stroke of a pen, he pardoned over 1,500 J6ers who have been persecuted by the Biden DOJ. “This is a big one,” Trump said, making it clear that his supporters won’t be forgotten. “We hope they come out tonight, frankly.”
MTG’s viral exchange perfectly sums up the frustration of millions of Americans who are sick and tired of the selective outrage. The truth is, Trump supporters have suffered enough, and it’s time to move forward—whether the media likes it or not.
