NYC’s Zohran Mamdani Embroiled In Major Scandal

Here we go again with the left-wing political elites bending the truth when it suits them, and this time it’s Zohran Mamdani, the pro-communist New York City mayoral frontrunner, caught red-handed playing identity politics to his advantage. According to a new report from The New York Times (and you know it’s bad when even they’re covering it), Mamdani allegedly lied about his race on his Columbia University application back in 2009.

The 33-year-old socialist darling, who emigrated from Uganda and now represents Queens in the New York State Assembly, reportedly checked both “Black” and “Asian” on his application to the Ivy League school. For the record, Mamdani is neither Black nor Asian in the sense those categories are intended. His family is of Indian-Ugandan descent, which, last time I checked, doesn’t qualify as African-American or Asian-American under U.S. demographics. But hey, when you’re a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist trying to rewrite the rulebook, I guess facts are optional.

Mamdani’s application was ultimately rejected, despite the fact that his father, Mahmood Mamdani, just happened to be a high-ranking professor at Columbia, running their Institute of African Studies. Nepotism and race-baiting? A classic leftist résumé.

Of course, when confronted, Mamdani brushed it off with the usual activist doublespeak. “Most college applications don’t have a box for Indian-Ugandans, so I checked multiple boxes trying to capture the fullness of my background,” he told The Times. Translation: I filled in whatever would improve my odds. Sound familiar? It’s like Elizabeth Warren 2.0, except this guy’s trying to run the biggest city in America, not just cozy up to Harvard.

Let’s also remember, Columbia and other elite universities openly used race as a factor in admissions for years, disproportionately harming White and Asian applicants. The Supreme Court recently put an end to that nonsense, but not before the damage was done, and people like Mamdani clearly tried to milk the system.

The only reason this came to light is because a hacker breached Columbia’s database, exposing millions of student records. The hacker claimed they wanted to see if affirmative action was still being used, and along the way, stumbled onto Mamdani’s little deception.

Local leaders aren’t holding back. Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar summed it up perfectly, calling Mamdani’s actions part of the “fraud he has perpetrated on New Yorkers.” Meanwhile, Columbia alumni, including Jewish community members, are furious that Mamdani exploited America’s history of slavery and racial oppression for personal gain.

Bottom line, the guy wants to turn NYC into a socialist playground, but he’s already proven he’ll twist the truth to climb the ladder. Classic leftist hypocrisy, plain and simple.
