Chuck Schumer blaming voters for Kamala Harris’s humiliating 2024 election loss is peak Democrat delusion. During an appearance on NBC’s Meet The Press, the Senate Minority Leader claimed voters didn’t “realize” just how much Democrats had done for them during the Biden-Harris years. Spoiler alert: the voters realized exactly what Democrats did—they just didn’t like it.
Schumer’s argument was as condescending as it was absurd. “We did a lot of good things,” he told host Kristen Welker, before pivoting to blame the messaging. According to Schumer, Democrats focused too much on “mechanics” and “details” of their legislation instead of connecting emotionally with the voters. Translation: We didn’t sell our disastrous agenda well enough.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on these so-called “good things” Schumer is so proud of. The Biden-Harris administration left a trail of chaos that would take years to clean up. The botched Afghanistan withdrawal led to the tragic deaths of 13 U.S. service members and emboldened our enemies. Inflation skyrocketed to 40-year highs, grocery and gas prices soared, and millions of Americans struggled to make ends meet thanks to Biden’s anti-energy agenda. Meanwhile, over 15 million illegal aliens flooded across our open borders, bringing record fentanyl overdoses that devastated communities.
Oh, and let’s not forget the supply chain crisis, “certain” mandates, and skyrocketing crime rates. Add to that Biden’s endless cash pipeline to Ukraine, the weaponization of the DOJ against political opponents, and the woke hollowing-out of our military. But hey, Schumer thinks voters just didn’t “feel” enough empathy from the Democrats. Seriously?
This isn’t about messaging—it’s about reality. Americans saw the damage firsthand and rejected it at the ballot box. Kamala Harris, with her
history of incompetence and record-low approval ratings, was the face of an administration that left working families in the lurch. No amount of spin could disguise the failures. Schumer’s excuse is as tone-deaf as it gets: blaming voters instead of owning up to the disastrous policies that sank Harris and the Democratic Party.
Here’s a newsflash for Schumer: voters don’t need “empathy” tours or flowery speeches about legislative mechanics. They need leaders who prioritize their well-being, secure the border, lower prices, and restore order to their communities. If Democrats spent as much time governing effectively as they do blaming everyone else for their failures, they might not be in such political freefall. But hey, keep blaming the voters—it worked out so well this time, didn’t it?
