Stacey Abrams’ Non-Profit Finally Shut Down for Good!

After more than a decade of controversy, lawsuits, and ethics violations, Stacey Abrams’ prized political machine, the New Georgia Project, is officially dead.

Founded in 2013 by Abrams to build a Democrat turnout network in Georgia, the organization announced Thursday that both the New Georgia Project and its political arm, the New Georgia Project Action Fund, are dissolving entirely. In a joint statement, the boards tried to spin the shutdown as a noble ending to noble work, claiming they “believed every voice matters” and that “democracy thrives” when people are empowered.

In reality, the group leaves behind a long trail of scandal, questionable fundraising practices, and proven violations of law.

Earlier this year, the organization agreed to pay a record $300,000 fine for illegally aiding Abrams’ 2018 gubernatorial campaign by spending millions without legally registering or disclosing those expenditures. After admitting the violations, the group began collapsing. Its director resigned, staff were laid off in waves, and donations dried up as scrutiny intensified.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, what was once one of the most powerful Democrat activist groups in the South now exits the scene under federal and state investigation, internal mutiny, fundraising collapse, and political irrelevance. The group once employed up to 400 canvassers during elections. In recent weeks, only a skeleton staff remained.

Social media users immediately mocked the media’s gentle coverage of the shutdown and “fixed” the headlines to reflect what actually happened. A disgraced Abrams-aligned outfit imploded after years of corruption and lawbreaking.

The closure is more than just a bookkeeping note. The New Georgia Project played a central role in Democrats’ election machinery across the state. Its sudden death weakens the left’s organizing infrastructure precisely as voters shift away from Biden-era policies and back toward America-First leadership.

For President Trump and Republicans, it is another major win. Abrams built this political machine to defeat Trumpism and permanently tilt Georgia blue. Instead, it blew up under the weight of its own corruption, paid record fines, lost its leader, and is now gone for good.

One more piece of the Democrat election apparatus has collapsed. One more win for fairness and accountability. And one more reminder that corruption eventually eats itself.
