Stormy Daniels expressed regret for revealing details about her alleged affair with former President Donald Trump, and stated that she has been threatened by Trump supporters. Speaking on “Good Morning Britain,” Daniels said she spoke truthfully about the affair and hush money payments, but feels it was ultimately pointless. Based on her opinion, she also doesn’t think Trump will face criminal charges related to these payments during the 2016 election campaign.
“I just feel like if people don’t want to face facts and see the truth and make a change and let somebody get away with this, then you know what, I’d rather have had the time back with my family,” Daniels said.
Daniels expressed remorse for publicly accusing Trump, citing the intimidation she has faced from his followers. She also alleged that her fence was trespassed by Trump supporters who reportedly harmed her horse, though she did not specify the extent of the damage or the attempted harm.
“I’m not frightened of him. He doesn’t scare me at all,” Daniels said of Trump, adding “I’m frightened of his sycophants and his followers.”
On April 4, former President Trump was arrested and indicted on 34 felony charges related to falsifying business records in connection with alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. This makes him the first ex-president to face criminal charges. Daniels alleges that she had consensual sex with Trump in 2006, which Trump denies. Trump pleaded not guilty to all the charges filed against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
During an interview on “Good Morning Britain,” Daniels confirmed that she would be willing to testify against Trump if required. She had previously expressed her willingness to testify and her desire for Trump to be jailed if found guilty during an interview with Piers Morgan.
“It’s daunting, but I look forward to it,” Daniels said when asked about the grand jury calling her in to testify. “I have nothing to hide. I’m the only one that has been telling the truth, and you can’t shame me anymore.”
“So you want to have them [ask you to testify],” Morgan pressed.
“I do,” Daniels said. “Having them call me in and put me on the stand legitimizes my story and who I am, and if they don’t, it almost feels like they’re hiding me.”
