Trump Fires Back at Tucker Carlson After Being Accused of Ditching ‘America First’ for Israel

President Trump is firing back after Tucker Carlson accused him of abandoning his “America First” foreign policy doctrine by supporting Israel’s preemptive strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. And let’s just say—Trump isn’t in the mood for lectures from someone who built his brand commenting on a movement Trump actually built.

This spat comes after Carlson, in his latest newsletter dramatically titled “This Could Be the Final Newsletter Before All-Out War”, slammed Trump for allegedly siding with the “neocon” establishment by backing Israel’s attack on Iran. “Washington knew these attacks would happen. They aided Israel in carrying them out,” Carlson wrote, adding that Trump, by sending weapons and offering support to Israel, was complicit in the escalation.

But Trump wasn’t having any of it. In an interview with The Atlantic, the President made it crystal clear: “America First” means protecting America’s interests—and keeping nuclear weapons out of Iran’s hands is exactly that.

“Well, considering that I’m the one that developed ‘America First’ and considering that the term wasn’t used until I came along, I think I’m the one that decides that,” Trump said, making it obvious he’s not handing over the steering wheel of the movement to a talk show host.

And he’s got a point. Trump added, “For those people who say they want peace—you can’t have peace if Iran has a nuclear weapon.” Translation: If you want peace, you prepare for the alternative. That’s not warmongering. That’s strategic deterrence—something the Obama-Biden crowd never understood.

Trump also revealed he previously vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader, warning it would lead to a full-blown regional war. So much for being a warmonger.

Carlson, of course, has long been an isolationist voice on the right, openly hostile to U.S. involvement in the Middle East. But let’s not confuse healthy skepticism with ignoring threats. Trump hasn’t deployed troops or launched airstrikes. He’s simply backing Israel’s right to not get wiped off the map by a regime that literally chants “Death to America” every Friday.

For the record, Trump also reminded Tehran that it blew through a 60-day deadline to make a deal. “Day 61,” he posted on Truth Social. Iran chose defiance. Israel responded. Trump stood with our ally. And he still wants a deal—but on America’s terms.

Sorry, Tucker. That is America First.
