US Department of War Preparing for Strikes Against Foreign Enemy

Well, it looks like the war on drugs just grew a spine. And possibly a drone strike or two. According to fresh reports, President Trump’s administration is actively considering drone strikes inside Venezuela to hit the drug cartels where it hurts, their labs, their leaders, and their operations. This wouldn’t be another sleepy press conference about “border security” or a flashy DEA bust with five guys in windbreakers. No, this would be the real deal — military-grade force used to destroy narco-terrorists at the source.

NBC News is reporting that military officials have drawn up detailed plans and options for strikes within Venezuelan territory. No green light yet, but we’re clearly past the stage of just floating ideas around the Situation Room. This thing is close to becoming a reality, and if it does, it’ll be a first. Up until now, strikes have only hit targets in international waters like the three Venezuelan “drug boats” President Trump announced were sunk this month.

And before anyone gets queasy about “escalation,” let’s remember what we’re dealing with. These cartels are not some ragtag neighborhood gangs selling dime bags on street corners. We’re talking about transnational criminal organizations pumping fentanyl, cocaine, and meth into the U.S., killing tens of thousands of Americans every year. This is an invasion just without tanks.

The Venezuelan regime, run by Nicolás Maduro who has a $50 million bounty on his head, has been playing footsie with drug cartels for years. And now they’re crying foul because the U.S. is parking warships nearby and loading up the drones? Spare us the outrage. If Maduro isn’t running a cartel himself, he’s doing a terrible job convincing anyone otherwise.

Trump has made it clear: he’s not going to sit around while cartel trash floods our country with poison. As he said on Truth Social, “Venezuela is sending us their gang members, their drug dealers and drugs. It’s not acceptable.” That’s putting it mildly.

Even Rep. Matt Gaetz, a “peace through strength” conservative, supports taking the gloves off. And why not? We spend billions every year fighting the effects of the drug war. Maybe it’s time we hit the cause with precision-guided justice.

Bottom line: If you run a drug lab that’s poisoning American citizens, your GPS coordinates might just make it onto a drone pilot’s screen. And you earned it.
