WATCH: Trump Give HILARIOUS Response During Deposition in Rape Case

On Friday afternoon, CNN unveiled a never-before-seen video of President Trump during his deposition in the case brought against him by E. Jean Carroll, who accuses him of raping her in a Bergdorf’s department store decades ago. In it, Trump explains that he would not have made an advance on Carroll due to the fact that she is “not [his] type” and argues that rape is a heinous crime. He then goes on to criticize his accuser’s lawyer for being “a political operative” and a “disgrace” before noting how accusing someone of rape is one of the worst charges one can make. He even expands upon this by humorously stating that the lawyer isn’t his type either.

Trump then continues to refute the allegations against him by stating that Carroll’s timeline of events is “ridiculous” and “made up” and noting that something as serious as rape occurring in such a public space would have been reported by multiple people near them. His stance on attending the trial was made apparent yesterday when he answered questions from reporters at one of his golf courses in Scotland, indicating his desire to confront his accuser during the proceedings.

The ongoing case involving Trump and E. Jean Carroll has been captivating many since it began last year with its accusation of sexual misconduct decades prior. The release of this newly surfaced footage brings more insight into Trump’s thought process surrounding the incident while also highlighting some of America’s cultural taboos when speaking about rape victims, namely those pertaining to women who are not seen as “beautiful” or attractive enough for their alleged perpetrators to be interested in them. They may not like it, but it’s the truth.
