The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been using taxpayer money to give grants to universities and organizations that are trying to make people think that conservatives are terrorists. This is wrong because it is not true and it is using government money to spread lies.
One of the universities that got a grant is the University of Dayton. They had a seminar where they said that the Republican Party, The Heritage Foundation, and Fox News were all extremist hate groups. They also said that the Trump administration was like the Khmer Rouge and that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis might start a second Holocaust.
Michael Loadenthal, a self-identified member of ANTIFA and researcher at the University of Cincinnati, further discussed how “antifascists” could de-platform organizations or individuals if enough people deemed them too conservative or “radical” – even though much of this would be illegal according to FBI information which Loadenthal stated he had conversations about.
This issue was further highlighted by Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center (MRC), who expressed his concern about what they had uncovered in their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests: “This terrorism task force is engaged in an active effort to demonize and eliminate Christian, conservative, and Republican organizations using federal taxpayer dollars… What we have uncovered calls for criminal prosecution. The American people need to know those who are abusing their positions in the federal government will be held accountable for their criminal behavior.”
The TVTP program was initially proposed during the Obama administration but was revived and expanded under Biden’s DHS – shifting from its original focus on terrorism to targeting political opponents through promoting media literacy initiatives that advocate censorship alongside critical thinking. In all, around $40 million has been awarded from this grant for such purposes – enough reason for watchdog MRC Free Speech America to request more documents via FOIA in order obtain more evidence against this misuse of federal funds by the Biden regime’s Disinformation Government Board.
The MRC is right to be concerned. This program is a waste of taxpayer money and it is spreading lies. The government should not be using taxpayer money to try to make people think that conservatives are terrorists.
