Tim Walz Mercilessly Booed at College Football Game: ‘Get Out of Here!’

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz faced an icy reception from Michigan football fans during Saturday’s matchup between the University of Michigan and the University of Minnesota at “The Big House” in Ann Arbor. As Walz entered the stadium, a large crowd of Michigan fans greeted him with loud boos and jeers. Among the shouts, one fan was heard yelling, “get out of here,” while another labeled Walz a “communist.”

Despite the size of the crowd waiting outside the stadium, there was a surprising lack of support for Walz. The governor appeared unfazed by the negative reception, later describing the event as a “religious experience.” However, it was clear that the Michigan fans were not in the mood to show any warmth to the visiting politician.

In stark contrast, President Trump was welcomed with open arms at the Alabama-Georgia game, which took place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, that same day. Trump, who arrived during the first quarter, was immediately surrounded by enthusiastic supporters. Fans eagerly packed in around his entrance point, with many chanting “USA” and “Four More Years!”

The former president took time to mingle with the crowd, tossing hats, popcorn, and other items to fans before finding his seat. The stadium erupted into cheers, and Trump’s presence added extra excitement to the already highly anticipated football game.

Meanwhile, the Harris-Walz campaign attempted to troll Trump at the Alabama game by flying a blimp over the stadium with an ad accusing him of dodging a second presidential debate. However, the plan fell flat when weather conditions forced them to scrap the stunt altogether.

The contrasting receptions at these two events highlighted the enthusiasm gap between the Trump and Harris-Walz campaigns. While Trump was cheered by a raucous crowd in Alabama, Walz’s appearance in Michigan was met with scorn, underscoring the challenges the Harris-Walz ticket faces in energizing voters in key battleground states.
