Democrat Defies Trump by Harboring Immigrant, Challenges ICE to Come Get Her

Well, well, well—New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy just openly admitted to harboring an illegal immigrant in his own home, practically daring federal authorities to do something about it. In a stunning display of arrogance, Murphy revealed during an event with Blue Wave New Jersey that an individual “whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to” is currently living above his garage. And just in case the message wasn’t clear, Murphy added, “Good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her.”

Oh really, Phil? Since when do Democrat governors get to pick and choose which federal laws they follow? Last time I checked, Title 8, U.S. Code 1324 makes it very clear that harboring an illegal alien is a crime. But here’s Murphy, smugly announcing his defiance as if he’s some kind of hero instead of an elected official openly violating federal law.

This isn’t just about Murphy’s personal decision to flout immigration laws—it’s about the broader lawlessness of the left when it comes to illegal immigration. They scream about “democracy” and the “rule of law” every time it suits them, but when it comes to enforcing immigration laws that protect American citizens? Suddenly, they’re all about “resistance.”

Tom Homan, former ICE director, has a very simple message for people like Murphy: Get the hell out of the way. Homan has already warned sanctuary city leaders, including Boston’s Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu, that interfering with federal immigration enforcement is illegal. And if Murphy thinks ICE is just going to shrug and let this slide, he might want to think again.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration isn’t playing around. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made it crystal clear that Democrats who refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement are making a huge mistake. She pointed out that cities overrun by illegal immigrants are desperate for relief but are refusing help because they don’t want to admit their sanctuary policies have failed. Instead of enforcing the law, they double down on reckless policies that put American citizens in danger.

So, is it time for ICE to storm Murphy’s mansion? Well, if an average American citizen harbored an illegal alien, they’d be looking at serious legal consequences. But apparently, if you’re a Democrat governor, you can break federal law on live television and get away with it.

It’s time for consequences. Either the law applies to everyone, or it applies to no one.
