BREAKING: Letitia James Finally Getting a Taste of Her Own Medicine

The political tables may have just turned in dramatic fashion. Multiple reports confirm that President Trump’s DOJ, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, has opened a grand jury investigation into New York Attorney General Letitia James for alleged “deprivation of rights” — a federal offense that covers situations where someone in authority abuses their power to violate another person’s constitutional protections.

According to Fox News, subpoenas have already been sent to James’s office, and the grand jury is meeting in Albany, New York. At the heart of the probe is the claim that James didn’t just pursue Donald Trump in court because she thought there was wrongdoing — she campaigned on “getting Trump” and then prosecuted him for what the DOJ now believes were non-crimes. Bondi’s team reportedly views this as a First Amendment violation, targeting Trump for his speech and political stance rather than any legitimate legal reason.

James, of course, made national headlines after winning a \$450+ million civil judgment against the Trump Organization, a ruling now tied up in appeals. But the Bondi-led DOJ isn’t just looking at that case. Sources tell Fox that a special strike force originally formed to investigate the 2016 Russia hoax has expanded into new areas — and James landed squarely in their sights.

Adding fuel to the fire, Attorney General Bondi has authorized special prosecutor Ed Martin to handle related allegations of mortgage fraud involving James, as well as overlapping claims with California Democrat Adam Schiff. Separate grand juries in Virginia and Maryland will tackle those threads.

James’s camp has already tried to flip the narrative, accusing the DOJ of “weaponization” — a somewhat ironic claim given her own history of proudly weaponizing her office against Trump and the NRA.

This is early in the process, and no charges have been filed yet. But politically, the move is explosive. For years, Democrats have used state-level AG offices to go after Trump in ways the federal system wouldn’t. Now, under Bondi, the feds are punching back — and they’re doing it by the book, through grand juries and subpoenas, not press conferences and campaign speeches.

If the evidence is there, James could face serious consequences. “Deprivation of rights” charges aren’t just a slap on the wrist — they can carry prison time. And if mortgage fraud allegations stick too, her legal troubles could get very real, very fast.

For Trump supporters, it’s simple: the hunted has officially become the hunter. For James, it might be time to lawyer up.
