Dr Oz Says Minnesota Scandal is Minor Compared to New Fraud Discovered in Blue State

The Minnesota fraud scandal shocked a lot of Americans, mostly because it finally exposed what many of us have suspected for years. Massive government programs with little oversight attract criminals like moths to a porch light. But if anyone thinks Minnesota was some kind of isolated disaster, think again. According to the Trump administration, that mess was just the appetizer.

Now the spotlight is turning to California, and what is coming out of there makes Minnesota look almost quaint.

President Trump’s CMS administrator, Dr. Mehmet Oz, dropped a bombshell by saying the fraud uncovered in Minnesota “pales in comparison” to what investigators are now finding in California. His estimate is staggering. More than $4 billion in fraud, just within the hospice and home care sectors, in the state run by Governor Gavin Newsom.

Let that sink in.

Earlier this month, the Department of Justice launched a formal investigation into medical fraud in California, and Dr. Oz explained how the scam works at a press conference. According to reporting by New York Post, there has been a sevenfold increase in hospice facilities in Los Angeles County alone. Sevenfold. As Dr. Oz bluntly pointed out, there are not seven times more deaths in LA County than there were five years ago. This is not demographic change, it is criminal activity.

Dr. Oz said these fraudulent operations are often run by foreign criminal networks, including Russian and Armenian gangs, working with roughly 100 corrupt doctors. These doctors convince patients they are terminally ill so they can be enrolled in hospice care, allowing fraudsters to bill Medicare. Around 100,000 people have reportedly handed over their Medicare numbers, often without fully understanding what was happening.

United States Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed that investigators believe the scale of fraud in California dwarfs what was uncovered in Minnesota. Hundreds of billions of dollars flow through California’s healthcare system every year, creating a perfect playground for scammers who know the system is rarely audited and almost never questioned.

It gets worse. Dr. Oz also revealed that roughly $1.3 billion in federal taxpayer dollars has been spent on elective medical procedures for illegal immigrants. That money is not supposed to be used that way. According to Oz, the state is now being forced to return it. Essayli added that about $10 billion flows through California for so called illegal immigrant health care, despite federal law prohibiting that use of funds.

This is not compassion. It is corruption.

These are not accounting errors or paperwork mistakes. These are organized criminal schemes bleeding taxpayers dry while politicians look the other way or pretend not to notice. And if this is only what investigators have uncovered in hospice and home care, imagine what is happening across the rest of California’s healthcare system. Now imagine it nationwide.

These are your tax dollars. They are being stolen in broad daylight.

Audit the entire system. Every state. Every program. No more excuses, no more blind trust, and no more pretending this is not happening.
