Hunter Biden

Hunter Biden Unloads on Jake Tapper in Interview

Hunter Biden did not hold back during a Wednesday appearance on Don Lemon’s YouTube show, launching into a profanity-filled attack against CNN anchor Jake Tapper that made it abundantly clear their feud is far from over.

The heated exchange began after Biden mentioned that he still has “friends” at CNN despite years of media scrutiny surrounding both himself and his family. Lemon, who spent years working alongside Tapper at the network, quickly asked whether the veteran anchor was among those friends.

The answer came without hesitation.

“No,” Hunter Biden replied. “Well, I knew Jake forever.”

That opened the door to a lengthy criticism of Tapper, whose 2025 book, “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” examined former President Joe Biden’s final years in office and the controversy surrounding his decision to seek another term.

The book generated significant attention when it was released, particularly because it examined questions surrounding the former president’s health and the administration’s handling of those concerns. Hunter Biden has previously criticized Tapper over the project, but his latest comments took the dispute to an entirely new level.

With a sigh and a laugh, Hunter Biden delivered his blunt assessment.

“I think that, um, Jake is a, um, a complete and utter, uh, a**hole.”

Lemon, perhaps surprised by the directness of the response, remained silent as Biden continued.

“I think that he is, um, a really poor journalist. And beyond that, I don’t think he’s a very decent human being.”

Hunter Biden also made it clear that his dislike of Tapper extends beyond professional disagreements.

“I don’t like him as a person,” he said, describing the conflict as “a real personal grievance.”

He wasn’t finished.

“I think he’s full of f*cking sh*t. That’s what I think.”

Lemon sought clarification, asking if Biden truly believed Tapper was “full of sh*t.”

Hunter Biden doubled down while adding a pop culture jab, comparing Tapper to Brick Tamland, the clueless television news anchor portrayed by Steve Carell in the comedy “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”

“I think he’s the Brick Tamland of his generation, yeah,” Biden said with a laugh.

Lemon reminded his guest that he personally knew Tapper from their years together at CNN.

“I know Jake. He’s a former colleague.”

“I know you do,” Hunter Biden responded before explaining why his criticism had become so personal.

According to Biden, Tapper repeatedly attacked him and members of his family.

“What Jake espoused and has continued, and the way that he has spoken about me, the way he has spoken about my mother, the way that he has spoken about my father…” Biden said before trailing off.

He then rejected the idea that he should offer polite compliments simply because Tapper has had a long career in journalism.

“The idea that I would tell you, and be full of sh*t like everybody else usually is, and say, ‘Well, you know, I’d like to respect Jake’s long career in journalism and, you know, he’s done good things before,’ you know what? I don’t have to say that.”

Hunter Biden explained that he has no political ambitions and therefore feels no pressure to soften his opinions.

“I’m not running for anything. I’m certainly not running for class president. I’m not running to be the most popular man, you know, on TV.”

Lemon concluded by asking what Hunter Biden would say if Tapper were standing in front of him.

Before Lemon could even finish the question, Hunter Biden interrupted with a laugh.

“I’d say exactly what I just said.”

The exchange quickly spread across social media, adding another chapter to the increasingly public feud between Hunter Biden and one of CNN’s highest-profile anchors. Whether the two ever reconcile appears doubtful, especially after a televised response that left little room for misunderstanding.
