Kat Timpf announces her second pregnancy after cancer treatment

Fox News Star Shares Stunning Family News After Hard-Fought Cancer Battle

Kat Timpf has announced that she is expecting her second child, and she delivered the news in the least polished celebrity-publicist fashion imaginable. There was no carefully staged magazine cover or breathless press release. Instead, the longtime Fox News personality and regular on “Gutfeld!” opened her jacket during a stand-up performance and showed the audience her baby bump.

The room erupted, and Timpf asked whether the crowd was surprised. Her answer was vintage Timpf: “So was I,” followed by a blunt joke about the unexpected development. Apparently, even major family announcements can arrive with a punchline when the person holding the microphone is Kat Timpf.

She later shared a video of the reveal on Instagram and thanked people who attended her recent shows for keeping the news private until she was ready to announce it. Her husband, Cameron Friscia, is a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan. Timpf joked that what he had described as a quick “excursion” was starting to look more like another 18-year commitment. She also made clear that the couple is excited to welcome their new child.

News Addicts shared the pregnancy announcement on X:

Timpf also confirmed the news on X with a casual reference to “whoever is in my belly.” The wording was funny, personal and entirely on brand, especially considering how much more serious the past two years have been for her family.

Her first child, a son, was born in February 2025, according to The Los Angeles Times. About 15 hours before she went into labor, doctors diagnosed Timpf with ductal carcinoma in situ, an early form of breast cancer in which abnormal cells remain inside a milk duct. She later said her son may have helped save her life by putting her in the medical setting where the cancer was discovered.

The following month, Timpf underwent a double mastectomy, a decision she described as one of the hardest she had ever made. She has spoken openly about the surgery, reconstruction and the emotional strain of becoming a mother while dealing with a frightening diagnosis. Rather than hide her scars or pretend the experience was simple, she has encouraged other women to feel less ashamed of their own mastectomy scars.

She eventually returned to television and stand-up comedy, continuing to discuss recovery in public. Her second pregnancy comes a little over a year after those operations, giving the announcement a significance far beyond a typical celebrity baby reveal. Timpf has described the pregnancy as exciting and difficult at the same time, handling both sides with blunt honesty and dark humor.

Her family is also turning that difficult experience into a fundraising effort. Timpf’s sister Julia is preparing to run the 2026 New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team to raise money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where Kat received treatment.

The family has also dealt with the unexpected death of Timpf’s father. She wrote that “All my dad wanted was to be around his grandchild.” He had set up a crib at his Michigan home before he died unexpectedly, a painful reminder that the family’s joy has arrived alongside plenty of grief. Through it all, Timpf continues to share the good news, the hard news and the awkward jokes in between, which is probably healthier than pretending life comes with a neat little script.
