Earlier this week, President Trump made a visit that had the media buzzing and political observers watching closely. The president traveled to Walter Reed Medical Center for his annual physical examination, a routine event that inevitably sparks speculation about the health of the commander-in-chief.
After the appointment, President Trump confidently told reporters that everything had gone well. As it turns out, the official results released by the White House backed up that assessment.
Despite years of predictions from critics, anonymous sources, social media doctors, and cable news personalities who seem convinced that doom is always just around the corner, President Trump received a remarkably positive report.
According to the White House medical summary, President Trump was found to be in excellent health and fully capable of carrying out all duties required of the presidency. The report cited strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and physical function, concluding that he remains fit to serve as President and Commander-in-Chief.
Some of the numbers are particularly noteworthy.
At age 79, President Trump stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 238 pounds. His resting heart rate was recorded at 73 beats per minute, while his blood pressure measured an impressive 105/71 mmHg. His oxygen saturation came in at 98 percent, another indicator of strong overall health.
The cardiovascular findings are likely to attract the most attention. Doctors reported normal heart function and found no arterial obstruction on coronary CT angiography. Even more interesting, an AI-enhanced electrocardiogram estimated President Trump’s cardiac age to be approximately 14 years younger than his actual chronological age. Not bad for someone who has spent years enduring nonstop political attacks, endless court battles, and a campaign schedule that would leave many younger politicians searching for a nap.
The neurological and cognitive results were equally strong. President Trump achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, commonly known as the MoCA. The examination also found normal mental status, strength, sensation, reflexes, balance, and gait. Screenings for depression and anxiety reportedly showed normal results as well.
Doctors also noted improvement in a condition that received attention last year. President Trump had previously been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after experiencing swelling in his lower legs and ankles. According to this year’s report, the swelling has decreased and the condition has improved.
Several other observations were included. Physicians noted minor bruising on his hands, attributed to frequent handshaking and daily aspirin use. They also documented scarring on his right ear resulting from the 2024 assassination attempt.
Laboratory results were equally encouraging. Total cholesterol measured 143 mg/dL, LDL cholesterol was 53, HDL cholesterol was 70, fasting glucose was 83.2 mg/dL, and HbA1c was 5.3 percent. All other bloodwork reportedly fell within normal ranges.
President Trump currently takes rosuvastatin and ezetimibe to manage cholesterol, along with a daily aspirin. The report also noted that he does not use tobacco or alcohol.
With his 80th birthday approaching on June 14, the latest medical evaluation paints the picture of a president who remains energetic, active, and fully engaged in the demands of the office. For supporters, the results provide reassurance that President Trump continues to possess both the physical stamina and mental sharpness required to lead the nation during a critical period in American history.
For those who have spent years predicting otherwise, this latest report was probably not the headline they were hoping to read.
