Vanessa Trump shares a cancer recovery update with daughter Kai Trump

Vanessa Trump Reveals Startling Health Update Following Cancer Diagnosis

Vanessa Trump has shared a major health update, and this is the kind of news that deserves attention for the right reason: she has announced that she is cancer-free after treatment for breast cancer.

Six months ago, Vanessa, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Now she has shared the hopeful result of that treatment. The announcement came in a short Instagram video filmed with her daughter, Kai Trump.

The clip serves as a teaser for Kai’s latest YouTube video, which will focus on her mother’s cancer journey. The longer-form video was slated for release on YouTube Saturday and includes Kai sitting down with Vanessa and Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss “mom’s journey with breast cancer and learn more about prevention and early detection.” Medical advice is best left to doctors, not the loudest person with a phone and a comment section, so that conversation could offer something genuinely useful.

Vanessa originally announced her diagnosis on May 20 on Instagram. “I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”

She also wrote, “I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me,” and added that she was “staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”

The post was flooded with well wishes from family and supporters. President Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, wrote, “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama,” while her half-sister Tiffany liked the post. It is hard to improve on that kind of family support, especially when the news is personal and serious.

Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. were married from 2005 to 2018 and share five children: Kai, Donald, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11. Kai is now helping tell her mother’s story, giving viewers a closer look at a difficult family experience without turning the announcement into a political spectacle.

In March 2025, Vanessa announced her relationship with golf icon Tiger Woods. A source exclusively told Page Six in May that Woods, 50, had “been very supportive of Vanessa through all this and is really just focused on being there for her.” The source added, “He’s proud of how positive she’s stayed and how she’s handling everything so far,” and said, “She’s been so strong and he truly believes she’s going to be okay.”

Her diagnosis was announced just days after Vanessa and Woods were spotted at Kai’s high school graduation in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, alongside several members of the Trump family.

For a change, the appropriate response is not another online argument or a parade of speculation. It is gratitude for the good news, respect for the family’s privacy, and continued prayers for Vanessa and everyone who has supported her. Praise the Lord!
