US Attorney Bill Essayli Tells Glenn Beck “We Will Be Charging Some People”

Federal prosecutors in California are signaling that election fraud cases may soon move from investigation to prosecution, according to comments made this week by First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli during an interview with Glenn Beck.

Speaking on Beck’s program Monday, Essayli revealed that his office expects to bring election fraud charges within the next one to two months, pending the certification of certain election results that prosecutors say are necessary to support their cases in court.

The announcement marks one of the most significant public statements yet from federal officials regarding ongoing election-related investigations in California.

“It will be election fraud charges in the next, I hate to put timelines on things, one to two months, I believe,” Essayli said during the interview. “We need some of these results to be certified so we can prove some of the allegations. But we will be charging some people.”

While Essayli declined to discuss specific suspects or cases, he emphasized that prosecutors are focused on building evidence-based investigations rather than rushing to public conclusions.

He noted that federal authorities are actively seeking witnesses and direct evidence from members of the public who may have firsthand knowledge of election irregularities.

“If you witnessed anything, if someone voted in your name and you found out someone voted for you, we want to know about that,” Essayli explained. “If you saw someone collecting ballots in a suspicious way or doing something odd with ballots, we want to know about that.”

According to Essayli, investigators are particularly interested in firsthand testimony and documented evidence that can be used to support criminal prosecutions. He stressed the importance of protecting innocent individuals from being unfairly linked to investigations before charges are formally filed.

The comments come amid a broader federal effort examining election-related issues in California. Essayli recently announced that his office, working alongside the FBI’s Los Angeles field office, has multiple election fraud investigations underway. The effort also includes coordination with Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon as officials review voter registration records and election procedures.

Interest in the investigations intensified following the June primary elections in California. Questions emerged regarding ballot-counting procedures and late vote updates in several races, particularly in Los Angeles. Some critics have pointed to unusual vote-reporting patterns and have called for additional scrutiny of election administration practices.

In response to growing public interest, federal officials established a dedicated election fraud tip line to collect information from potential witnesses and concerned voters.

Supporters of the investigations argue that election integrity requires aggressive enforcement and thorough reviews of potential violations. Critics, meanwhile, caution that allegations should be supported by verifiable evidence before conclusions are drawn.

Regardless of where the investigations ultimately lead, Essayli’s comments indicate that federal authorities believe at least some cases have progressed far enough to warrant criminal charges in the near future.

If those charges are filed as expected, they could place California’s election system under an even brighter national spotlight and set the stage for a closely watched legal battle over election integrity and enforcement in one of the nation’s largest states.
